Carol's looking rather fearsome in the bottom row there. Also, she seems to have aged at least a couple of decades in a matter of seconds. There's some evil magic afoot here!

Maybe she was challenging Rex, and June used her vampire-like powers to drain the life from her.

"Wait a minute, this isn't a coal mine, it's a school!"

Is that nurse attempting to flirt with Rex? Inviting him to take her on in a fight? It's got to be one or the other, just look at her.

"Bzzzt! Does Not Compute! Warning! Warning! Explosion imminent!"

Seriously, June seems to be some sort of robot. Or maybe she's having a seizure. Or maybe she's a robot having a seizure.

I wonder if this Carol person is going to be relevant to anything. Almost certainly not.

I also love the first panel. Rex seems so excited; "I'm from the health department!"

"Damn, witnesses."

So this guy's not even relevant? What the hell have we been wasting time reading about him for then? I'm beginning to get bored here, people!

"Yes… take off the mask… it's perfectly safe, I promise!"

June's really going insane with the hand sanitiser. Although "going" might not be the correct word...

"It's kind of creeping me out. Also, I don't think you should be performing surgery here, there was an MRSA outbreak."

Maybe it's protection against the bleach fumes. I certainly wouldn't want to be in there breathing that stuff all day, if only because of the smell.

"This stuff would probably work great on those blood stains..."

Nothing's really happening today. Get a move on, guys!

"Where the hell have they been anyway? I've been here for hours."

I was going to comment on Becka wearing the same shirt two days in a row, but looking back, I think it's actually a coat or jacket or something. Whatever it is, it's pretty hideous. I can't imagine anyone choosing to wear it. Is it some sort of bizarre uniform to put Becka in her place? "The Morgans get to dress nicely, you must wear this." She was wearing something else when Rex drove her home…

I think I'm obsessing over this a little bit too much, because I'v just noticed it seemed to transform between the morning and the afternoon. The fact that the morning was a Sunday strip and the afternoon was weekday strips makes it hard to tell, but I think Becka may have changed into a similar yet slightly different outfit at lunchtime. And today she's wearing the latter.

Gasp! Perhaps she had to kill someone before (or during) lunch and got blood all over he hideos coat, so she had to wear the yollew one when Rex drove her home.

"Keep your poking to yourself, Rex."

You know, sometimes I wish this comic moved just a little bit faster.

"But… it's an official investigation! How can this be happening!?"

Sorry June, but that's a ridiculous expression in panel two.

"Well, I'm sure that didn't take long."

Seriously, how dumb is this kid? "Don't talk to anyone." "I can still talk to complete strangers in white coats though, right?"

"Then you suck at following instructions. Who the hell did you think I was anyway?"

Put on a white coat and you can just ask anyone anything. It's like magic.

Also, that pause after "wrestling" makes me giggle.

"So, you like getting hot and sweaty with a bunch of other guys? So do I."

OK, so the school thing did have some merit, but it still wasn't the logical starting point, and even though Rex is the one who said it was, he still didn't start there, so I feel vindicated.

"Oh, the food isn't that great? I'm so very sorry. It's not like we just saved your life or anything, ungrateful little turd."

Hang on, isn't this the logical place to start? And din't he know this all along? What was that garbage about the school? That's not the logical place, the surviving victims are. Rex is an idiot.

"Time to say goodnight, zombie June!"

See what I did there? Goodnight? 'Cause they're actually going to bed but I'm pretending like Rex is going to kill June because she's a zombie? No? Well I thought it was funny.

Also, I hadn't realised until now, but Rex has a pretty impressive body. It's a pity the colourists are on crack, 'cause this really should be a damn fine strip, at least visually. The dialogue would obviously need a few alterations.

In fact, just removing the colour and dialogue helps a lot. Now we can pretend they're not having an incredibly boring conversation before going straight to sleep on opposite sides of the bed and that neither of them is a zombie (or the Incredible Hulk). Hooray!

"Students have the tastiest braaaaiiins."

June has become some sort of hideous zombie! Watch out Rex, your brain… probably isn't that appetising, really. Never mind.

"Yes, mind-numbingly fascinating."

That green and gold lamp is truly a thing of beauty. I can totally see why they'd want something like that.

"Wait, what am I drinking?"

It is bleach! And apparently June's just poured some on that fruit bowl.

Also, poor Blonde Woman is still looking to get lucky tonight, but June seems totally uninterested.

"This woman has no idea how to flirt."

And what is June drinking? Bleach? Seriously, what drink comes in bottles like that?

"Wow, that guy is even more awesome than I thought!"

I'm very disappointed that we didn't get to see that press conference.
